Hi! I’m Allison

Itโ€™s so nice to meet you.

If youโ€™re here, youโ€™re probably curious about what makes me tick. You may not have noticed yet (donโ€™t worry, you will!), but I โค๏ธ emojis. I was born and raised in Colorado. I spent a few humidity-soaked years in South Florida, but Iโ€™ve been happily back in the Centennial State for the last ~15 years.

Never in a million years did I think Iโ€™d ever become an author or the founder of a critique group. But Iโ€™ve heard that reading a lot is the #1 thing that helps authors succeedโ€ฆ so I figure Iโ€™ve been preparing for this my whole life! ๐Ÿ˜‰

And for you traditionalists who want a back-of-the-book type deal, I’ve got you covered, too:

Allison is an award winning writer who lives with a view of the Rocky Mountains from her back patio and is surrounded by her husband, teenage son, and a gaggle of animals. After nearly 20 years in marketing and eCommerce, she left the corporate world in 2023 and now splits her time running a small, family-owned business, doing odd jobs, and baking copious amounts of bread.

A passionate and eclectic reader, Allison especially enjoys stories that challenge her perspective and explore the gray areas of life. These areas are where hope and light are so desperately needed because the answers arenโ€™t always clear, and the path forward isnโ€™t always easy to discern.

As the real world begins to resemble dystopian fiction more and more, she sees young people navigating overwhelming challenges with shifting sand under their feet. Her deepest hope is to reach todayโ€™s youth (and the many adults who love YA and MG stories, too!) with the hope and light that only a strong foundation in Jesus can bring.
